Revitalize Your Skin with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatments

Platelet Rich Plasma, is a blood product, that has been used as a method of skin rejuvenation for more than 10 years. Platelets contain multiple types of proteins and growth factors that facilitate healing, stimulate stem cells, and increase cell proliferation.  The combination of these three traits leads to increased tissue remodeling and hyaluronic acid production resulting in skin rejuvenation.

PRP therapy can produce wonderful antiaging benefits.  It can be by used to decrease scalp hair loss, decrese dark circles around the eyes, treat facial wrinkles, acne scars, smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of stretch marks!

At Willow Skin Therapy, we utilize PRP in two different manners:

  1. In conjunction with a Microneedling (aka Vampire Facial)

  2. Injected intradermally into different areas of the face (aka Vampire Facelift)

  • PRP therapy is a 3-step process.

    PRP therapy requires 3 treatments
    4–6 weeks apart.

    Maintenance treatments every 6-12 months.

  • For PRP treatments of the face, you can expect to see some results starting at 2 or 3 weeks. These results will be a brighter complexion, a healthy glow to the skin, and even a more plump skin texture. Collagen at injection sites will continue to increase as additional procedures are completed with full benefit after a minimum of 3 treatments.

  • With Microneedling, Erin will apply topical licocaine for 20 minutes before your procedure. Most patients find they experience little to no discomfort. Injections are done with a very small needle. Injection sites are numbed topically before your procedure. Most patients feel a small pinch with injections that they find very tolerable.

  • MINIMIZE: Alcohol, caffeine, and cigarettes for 2 days before and after treatment. Smokers do not heal well and problems recur earlier and results may take longer. Maintain a healthy diet and drink 4 – 6 large glasses of water the day of the treatment.

  • You may have some soreness and tenderness at the area of the injections for a few days. This soreness and some swelling can last three to seven days.
